At Ashley Marie Soap, I handcraft cold process soaps in small batches in southern Utah. I use pure essential oils to scent our bars and natural colorants for their colors—never synthetic fragrance oils or micas.

What is essential oil soap?
Essential oil soap is soap scented with aromatic oils extracted from plants. Depending on the blend, its scent can be floral, herbal, citrusy, minty, spicy, or earthy.
A soap’s name tells only part of the story. Reading the scent description and ingredient list helps you understand what’s actually in the bar.
Which soap scent should you choose?
Love floral scents? Try Lavender. Its familiar floral and herbal aroma is a good starting point if you enjoy the scent of lavender.
Love fresh, minty scents? Try Eucalyptus Mint. Eucalyptus, peppermint, and spearmint create a crisp blend for anyone who enjoys a fresh, spa-inspired scent.
Love citrus with a floral twist? Try Grapefruit Geranium. This is a lovely direction if you want bright citrus paired with rosy floral notes.
Love earthy, woodsy scents? Try Mountain Man. Its blend includes patchouli, cedarwood, and cinnamon for an earthy aroma with a warm, spicy edge. Despite the name, it’s for anyone who enjoys those scents.
Prefer no added scent? Try Milk, Oats & Honey. This unscented bar is an option for anyone who prefers to skip added essential oils. Unscented doesn’t necessarily mean completely odorless; the ingredients themselves can have a mild aroma.
How do you choose soap as a gift?
Start with what the recipient already likes. Someone who enjoys floral scents might appreciate Lavender, while a fan of fresh mint may prefer Eucalyptus Mint. If you don’t know their preference, a few different minis let them explore.
